Sailing on the Whitsundays

The sailing boat, Souhtern Cross. 68 feet long with a mast that`s 97 feet high.

We were 14 people on the boat with 2 crew members.

On the first day we went snorkeling at Blue Pearl Bay.

Met some lovely people on the boat. This is me with Patricia and Nadia

Nachos!

Evening activities on the boat.

The second day we went to visit the Whitsunday Island

Whitehaven Beach. It is the most beautiful beach I`ve ever seen in my life. The water is so clear blue, but the most awesome part of this beach is the sand. It contains about 98,9 % of the mineral silica, which is why it`s so incredibly white. It`s very good for your skin, and if you rub some sand gently on your mobile screen, it can take away minor scratches. NASA actually purchases some of the sand from here for their projects.

After a couple of hours on Whitehaven Beach, we went for a bush-walk to a look-out.

Yes, there are spiders here too.

This is Tom, an awesome guy from London.

The whole gang :)

At the after-party. The skipper of the boat is the third guy on the first bench.
